College Possible AmeriCorps referral bonus terms and conditions

The 2022 College Possible AmeriCorps Referral Bonus Program will be offered for qualifying referrals of AmeriCorps candidates who accept offers to serve with College Possible or College Forward no later than July 22, 2022, with earlier program closure deadlines for Summer Coaches as described below.  After that date, no individuals may enroll for participation in the referral bonus program.  Further, referral bonuses will not be paid for candidates who accept offers after the deadlines specified in these terms and conditions.
 
College Possible reserves the right to end the referral program or amend these terms, for any reason at any time. Participants in this program are subject to College Possible’s general privacy policy in addition to the terms and conditions outlined below.


 
Eligible Program Participants
 
Enrollment in the College Possible Referral Bonus Program is limited to currently serving AmeriCorps members and staff, confirmed AmeriCorps members serving in the 2022-2023 school year, and College Possible or College Forward AmeriCorps alumni, with each group defined as follows:
 

  • Confirmed 2022-2023 AmeriCorps Member is defined as anyone confirmed to serve as a College Possible or College Forward AmeriCorps Member for the 2022-2023 school year, including first years as well as Returning AmeriCorps Members. For the sake of program terms, this group includes only Members with start dates on or after August 1, 2022.

  • Summer Coach is defined as any AmeriCorps Transition Coach or other Corps volunteer whose service start date occurs on or before July 31, 2022. Note that referrals of Summer Coaches are subject to an earlier deadline for offer confirmation, so that any referral incentives are delivered to a Summer Coach prior to their service start date.

  • Currently Serving AmeriCorps Member is defined as anyone who is currently serving as an AmeriCorps Member with College Possible or College Forward during the 2021-2022 school year either as a first year or returning member, and who will NOT be serving in the 2022-2023 school year.  This category excludes those currently serving as AmeriCorps Member during the 2021-2022 school year who have confirmed to serve as a Returning AmeriCorps Member for the 2022-2023 school year as well as AmeriCorps members who will serve as Summer Coaches.  

  • Staff member is defined as anyone who is employed by College Possible or College Forward under any employment status, including Alumni on staff. However, staff members whose titles and/or job descriptions explicitly identify them as AmeriCorps member recruiters are ineligible to participate.

  • Alumni is defined as anyone who has completed a College Possible, College Forward, or College Access Now AmeriCorps service year. This category excludes alumni who are currently serving AmeriCorps members, confirmed 2022-2023 AmeriCorps members, or are current College Possible or College Forward staff members.

 
 

Required Referral Bonus Program Enrollment

Incentives, Terms and Conditions
 
The College Possible Referral Bonus Program is a nationally administered and funded program. It is available to all Eligible Program Participants, as defined above.
 
Referrals are defined as individuals who submit an application for a AmeriCorps coach or VISTA position, interview, are invited to serve, and confirm their acceptance of their offer to serve with College Possible or College Forward before July 22, 2022 (with a deadline of June 24, 2022 for candidates referred by Summer Coaches) and meet at least one of the following criteria:

 

  • Complete a College Possible or College Forward coach application and identify a qualified individual by name as their referral source; OR

  • Have been identified with first and last name as a target referral candidate by an Eligible Program Participant via the registration form prior to the candidate’s application submission date and time

 
Candidates who do not meet one of these two criteria are ineligible to be counted as a referral, and these are the only two methods by which the referring party may be identified.
 
All referrals must meet our College Possible AmeriCorps member eligibility requirements, which can be found here, scroll to “Who Is Eligible to Serve?”
 
The following candidate types will NOT be eligible for referral bonus incentives under the terms of this program:

 

  • Any candidate who has previously served with or been employed by College Possible or College Forward, for any length of time

  • Any candidate who received direct support from College Possible or College Forward coach(es) as a college student during the 2021-22 school year

 
 

Terms & Conditions for participating Confirmed 2022-2023 AmeriCorps Members, including Returning AmeriCorps Members
 
For every new referral who becomes a confirmed first year AmeriCorps member for the 2022-2023 service year and remains confirmed in the program through June 27, 2022, eligible participants will receive a $200 Visa gift card.
 
In order to be eligible, you must:  

 

  • Have referred an eligible candidate who submits an application, interviews, is invited to serve, and confirms their acceptance of their offer to serve. 

  • Be identified as the referring party by one of the two methods listed above.

 

The confirmed member must be applying to serve with College Possible or College Forward for the first time and accept their invitation to serve as a full-time or three-quarter-time first year AmeriCorps Member in the 2022-2023 school year no later than July 22, 2022, and remain confirmed in the program through July 25, 2022.

 
 

Terms and Conditions for Participating Summer Coaches
 
For every new referral who becomes a confirmed first year AmeriCorps member for the 2022-2023 service year and remains confirmed in the program through July 25, 2022, eligible participants will receive a $200 Visa gift card.
 
In order to be eligible, you must:  

 

  • Have referred an eligible candidate who submits an application, interviews, is invited to serve, and confirms their acceptance of their offer to serve. 

  • Be identified as the referring party by one of the two methods listed above.  

 

The confirmed member must be applying to serve with College Possible or College Forward for the first time and accept their invitation to serve as a full-time or three-quarter-time first year AmeriCorps Member in the 2022-2023 school year no later than June 24, 2022, and remain confirmed in the program through June 27, 2022.

 
 

Terms and Conditions for 2021-2022 AmeriCorps Members, Staff and Alumni
 
If at any time a currently Serving AmeriCorps Member confirms to serve as a Returning AmeriCorps Member for the 2022-2023 corps year or a Summer Coach as defined above, they become ineligible for the incentives described in this section and should refer to the preceding sections for the appropriate terms and conditions.
 
For every new referral who becomes a confirmed first year AmeriCorps member for the 2022-2023 service year, eligible participants in this category will receive a $200 Visa gift card.  For every new referral who remains in service as a College Possible or College Forward coach for at least 30 days, eligible participants in this category will also receive an additional $300 Visa gift card.

In order to be eligible for a $200 Visa gift card, you must:

 

  • Have referred an eligible individual who submits an application, interviews, is invited to serve, and confirms their acceptance of their offer to serve. 

  • Be identified as the referring party by one of the two methods listed above.  

 

The confirmed member must be applying to serve with College Possible or College Forward for the first time and accept their invitation to serve as a full-time or three-quarter-time first year AmeriCorps Member in the 2022-2023 school year no later than July 22, 2022.

 
In order to be eligible for an additional $300 Visa gift card, you must:  

 

  • Have referred a candidate meeting the requirements of the preceding paragraph who remains in service for at least 30 days.

 
If at any time a staff member’s employment status with College Possible or College Forward is terminated, the staff member will receive the benefits they have accrued through their termination date. If status is terminated prior to August 22, 2022, the staff member will become ineligible for the $300 incentive.
 
 

Split/Shared Rewards
 
In a case where more than one eligible participant is identified as a referral source and qualifies for a particular incentive under the terms and conditions described above, that incentive will be divided equally among all eligible participants and paid based on the schedule described below.
 
 

Payment Logistics for Earned Rewards
 
Incentives will be delivered as electronic gift cards during the timeframes designated below.  Please note that any incentives paid are to be treated as taxable income.  Any eligible participant who has already received a referral incentive with cash value will have that amount deducted from additional incentives to be paid.
 
 

Confirmed 2022-2023 AmeriCorps Members, Including Returning AmeriCorps Members
 
All eligible participants who qualify for a bonus will receive a Visa gift card including total incentives earned via email no earlier than July 25, 2022 and no later than August 8, 2022.
 
 

Summer Coaches
 
All eligible participants who qualify for a bonus will receive a Visa gift card including total incentives earned via email no earlier than June 20, 2022 and no later than July 1, 2022.
 
 

Currently Serving (2021-2022) AmeriCorps Members, Alumni, College Possible and College Forward Staff
 
All eligible College Possible or College Forward staff, AmeriCorps alumni, and currently serving (2021-2022) AmeriCorps members, will receive $200 Visa gift card(s) via email for confirmed referrals no later than August 8th, 2022, and $300 Visa gift card(s) via email for persisting Corps member referrals via email no later than September 30th, 2022.
